Google tends to show the amount of posts/authors within a thread usually so you get a sense of how much posts are within the thread. Usually this is a hit or miss but it gives a slight idea if the thread you are about to click on has any posts or it is a dead one for example making it easier to look at recommendation threads or not having to go through dead thread after dead thread.
Although I understand that it would take a toll on the server, it really did make the Fireden archive useful to find specific threads instead of sifting through garbage although since there are search operators here, it does make the searching somewhat decent. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I did not know that such a thing could have an effect on servers like this.
